Lori L. Harbert joined Ruppert & Schaefer, P.C. in 2005. She attended Vincennes University where she graduated cum laude in 2005. Lori majored in Paralegal Studies and graduated with an Associate in Science degree. Lori is paralegal to Paula J. Schaefer and Lainie A. Hurwitz who practice exclusively in family law. Lori is a member of Indianapolis Bar Association and participates in activities with the Indiana Paralegal Association as well.
Helen L. O'Malley joined Ruppert & Schaefer, P.C. in May 2009. She graduated in 1987 with honors from Watterson Paralegal College in West Los Angeles, California. She has been working as a legal assistant/paralegal for over 27 years, mainly in the area of family law, although she has also worked in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice and probate. Helen is the paralegal for Michael G. Ruppert who practices exclusively in the family law field.
Kay Carter started working for Ruppert & Schaefer, P.C. in 2003. She is a native Hoosier, has been happily married for 27 years, and has one daughter. Kay obtained an Associate Degree in Applied Science as a Paralegal from Ivy Tech State College in 1994. She went to work in her first law firm in August of 1993 and worked in several different areas of law including probate, insurance defense and collections before she began working in family law in 2001. In her spare time Kay enjoys reading, singing, walking, and spending time with family and friends.
Megan M. Lewis joined Ruppert & Schaefer, P.C. as a law clerk in the fall of 2010. She currently attends Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis and expects to graduate in 2012. Megan earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Indiana University. She volunteers at the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic assisting staff attorneys with general intake of new clients and previously volunteered with Wishards Medical-Legal Partnership assisting low income clients with a variety of legal issues. Megan is veteran of the Indiana Army National Guard where she served seven years including one deployment to Iraq. Her awards include two Army Commendation Medals, an Indiana Commendation Medal, an Army Achievement Medal, and a Combat Action Badge.
